Our story
The Swedish brand HIVEFIVE started as a student company back in high school, between our sophomore and junior years. It's not easy as 17-year-olds to solve all the world's problems, but we started somewhere and chose to combat single-use plastics in the kitchen. So, with €400 and our parents' garage, we began making our first beeswax wraps, and a week later, the phone rang. We had received our first order through our website, and we couldn't believe our eyes.
School project to Real Business
In 2021, the pandemic reached every corner of the globe, and we poured all the hours we could outside of school into HIVEFIVE. When we finally finished school in the summer, we transformed into a real business working full time.
Our First Employees
Throughout 2021, at the peak of the pandemic, we pressed on swiftly with HIVEFIVE. It grew so significantly that we began hiring friends and were able to establish a proper workplace. What started as a small school project had blossomed into something immense. Absolutely incredible!
Sustainable Company of the Year
As the years went by, we garnered increasing media attention. In 2022, we won the Bona Postulata in Sweden and were nominated for Young Entrepreneurs of the Year. In 2023, we clinched the award for Sustainable Company of the Year in our hometown in Sweden. Incredibly thrilling and a powerful validation of our hard work.
